The PRODISIS system was developed as a support tool for the application of the new updated seismic design recommendations contained in the Chapter of Design by Earthquake of the Civil Works Design Manual of the Federal Electricity Commission in Mexico (known by its Spanish acronym as CFE) (CDS-MDOC 2015) .

Originally, it was designed to obtain the value of acceleration at the rocky terrain level, considering that it varies across the country, and for the construction of design spectra. However, modules are included to facilitate the application of some criteria contained in the Manual of Civil Works Design Chapter Design by Earthquak, 2015 edition.
